Frequently asked questions

How do I convert mg to mL for a peptide solution?+

You cannot convert mg to mL without knowing the concentration. The formula is: volume (mL) = mass (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL). For example, if your reconstituted solution has a concentration of 2.5 mg/mL (2,500 mcg/mL) and you want 0.5 mg (500 mcg), you need 0.5 ÷ 2.5 = 0.2 mL.

Is 1 mg always equal to 1 mL?+

No. This is a common misconception. 1 mg = 1 mL only when the solution concentration is exactly 1 mg/mL. After reconstitution, peptide concentrations are much higher — typically 1,000 to 5,000 mcg/mL (1–5 mg/mL) — so 1 mg of peptide is only a fraction of a mL.

What is the formula for mg to mL conversion?+

Volume (mL) = Dose (mg) ÷ Concentration (mg/mL). Equivalently in mcg: Volume (mL) = Dose (mcg) ÷ Concentration (mcg/mL). Both give the same result — just ensure units match throughout.

How do I find my peptide concentration after reconstitution?+

Why is my dose volume less than 0.1 mL?+

Small draw volumes (e.g., 0.05 mL = 5 units on a U-100 syringe) are common when using high-concentration peptide solutions. If the volume is too small to read accurately, consider adding more BAC water to lower the concentration and increase the draw volume.

Can I use this calculator for any injectable compound?+
