How to Use This Calculator
- Determine your peptide dose in mg or mcg: Identify the dose from your research protocol. Convert to mg if needed: mcg ÷ 1,000 = mg.
- Calculate or enter your solution concentration: Enter the concentration in mg/mL (or mcg/mL). Compute it as: vial mass ÷ diluent volume.
- Calculate volume: The calculator divides dose by concentration: Volume (mL) = dose (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL).
- Convert mL to syringe units: Multiply the mL result by 100 (for U-100) or 40 (for U-40) to get the number of syringe units to draw.
- Verify the draw volume is readable: Confirm the result is a practical draw volume (at least 2–3 units on the syringe scale). If not, adjust your reconstitution concentration.
Example Calculation
A researcher wants to draw 0.5 mg (500 mcg) of Ipamorelin from a vial reconstituted to 2.5 mg/mL (5 mg vial + 2 mL BAC water) using a U-100 syringe.
